Adopt-a-Highway
Third Thursday, April–November, 7 to 8 am. Get your exercise, meet & chat with others from Wellfleet, and do a great service to the Town–all in one hour a month. Meet at the Dunkin Donuts parking lot on Route 6 at 7 am. Wear gloves and sturdy shoes.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation provides the collection tools, collection bags, a safety vest and work gloves. Until October, weather permitting, we will repeat the process the third Thursday of every month. Moisture resistant footwear is recommended since the roadside can be damp at this time in the morning.
